Selden Society Membership

The Selden Society currently has almost 1700 members in over 30 countries, mainly the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries of the Commonwealth. These members include, in addition to professional and amateur legal historians, many distinguished judges and practising lawyers, together with most of the major university, court and official libraries in the English-speaking world.

Individuals

Selden Society membership offers the opportunity to be part of a distinguished and international society devoted to the study and appreciation of English legal history. Members receive, for an annual membership fee, the Society's annual volume, annual report and other occasional literature, including published lectures. A member is also entitled to concessional rates on other publications. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in legal history; no formal qualifications are needed.

Anyone wishing to join the Selden Society should complete a membership form and return it to the address below, along with a cheque or money order for $90. You will be issued with a receipt confirming your membership.

Anyone from outside Australia wishing to join the Society should refer to the membership forms available on the UK and the US websites.

Institutions

Institutions receive, for an annual membership fee, that year’s annual volume, annual report, and occasional literature, including published lectures. A member institution is also entitled to concessional rates on other publications.

To join the Selden Society please complete the membership form and return it to the address below. Institutions should include a cheque or money order for $110 with their application, or elect to pay on invoice. A receipt will be issued confirming membership once payment has been received.

Subscriptions can be paid via cheque or money order. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court of Queensland Library is not able to offer credit card facilities for these transactions.
