The Honourable Justice Michelle May graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Laws in 1978. She became associate to Justice Helman of the District Court and commenced practice at the bar in 1979. Justice May was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1993. She became a member of the Family Law Council the following year and in 1995 was appointed Judge of the Family Court of Australia.
