Graduating
from the University of Queensland in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts and a
Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bronwyn Jolly commenced her legal career that
same year as associate to the Honourable Mr Justice Davies on the
Queensland Court of Appeal and was later admitted as a solicitor. In August of
1993 to June of 1994, she was the Research Officer for the Litigation
Reform Commission. She then moved on to become the Policy Officer in the
Policy and Legislation Division Department of Justice, where she
remained until 1997. In July of 1997, she became the principal Legal
Adviser to the Director General in the Department of Justice.
Bronwyn became the Registrar of the
Queensland Anti-Discrimination Tribunal from March to September of 1998.
She then took on the role of Manager of the Executive Services Branch
and Cabinet Legislation and Liaison Officer, until December of that
year.
From 1998 to the present, Bronwyn has
held the position of Court Administrator of the Supreme and District
Courts of Queensland. In May of 2000, she convened the Senior Women’s
Forum for the Department of Justice and Attorney General.
