Graduating from the University of Queensland in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bronwyn Jolly commenced her legal career that same year as associate to the Honourable Mr Justice Davies on the Queensland Court of Appeal and was later admitted as a solicitor. In August of 1993 to June of 1994, she was the Research Officer for the Litigation Reform Commission. She then moved on to become the Policy Officer in the Policy and Legislation Division Department of Justice, where she remained until 1997. In July of 1997, she became the principal Legal Adviser to the Director General in the Department of Justice.

Bronwyn became the Registrar of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Tribunal from March to September of 1998. She then took on the role of Manager of the Executive Services Branch and Cabinet Legislation and Liaison Officer, until December of that year.

From 1998 to the present, Bronwyn has held the position of Court Administrator of the Supreme and District Courts of Queensland. In May of 2000, she convened the Senior Women’s Forum for the Department of Justice and Attorney General.
