Anne began her career as a Laboratory Technician with the Tropical Diseases Unit at the University of Sydney. Soon after, Anne moved to the faculty of Arts and after being admitted to the NSW Bar, was admitted in Queensland in 1975. At that time there was only one other female barrister practising in Queensland. Anne was a founding member of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland, and took a special interest in ‘wives ‘n wills’ and arbitration during her time at the bar. Following her career as an army reservist in the Legal Corps, Anne was appointed Chair of the Anzac Day Trust. For the past twenty years, Anne has been a broadcaster and feature writer on Radio 4MBS, and this year convened a group to produce 10 programs on Queensland’s role in Federation.
