Biographical Notes
At the time of his appointment to the Supreme Court of Queensland on 29 August 2008, Justice Applegarth was a member of the Senior Bar. He practised in a wide range of civil and public law litigation. His areas of practice included professional negligence, commercial litigation, insurance law and media law. He also appeared before various Commissions of Inquiry including the Fitzgerald Inquiry and the Commission of Inquiry into Queensland Public Hospitals
