The Library supports the Queensland Courts by providing a range of legal information services. Our Information Services team is available five days per week, 8.30am to 5pm, to assist users in-person or by phone or email.
Who can use our services?
The Library is the primary information service provider for the Queensland Courts and Tribunals. We also provide services for the Queensland legal profession, as well as members of the public with business before the Courts.
All legal practitioners are encouraged to register with us. Registration is free and will provide remote access to our online services and collections. Queensland Law Society members may also be eligible for additional entitlements.
What services are available?
As a registered user you can access a range of online subscription databases via our catalogue from your home or office computer. You can also request assistance from our Information Services team, including document delivery, reference enquiries and more complex legal research. Please note that fees may apply. Our range of free e-newsletters includes the Daily Law List Bulletin and our weekly Queensland Legal Updater, which provides an overview of developments in the law.
Legal practitioners with a current practicing certificate may also apply for after-hours access to the Library.
